As a Seller Fraud Agent, you’ll play a key role in protecting the integrity of our platform by reviewing seller accounts, identifying fraud risks, and taking decisive action to prevent bad actors from gaining access. 

This isn’t customer service—it’s operational detective work. You’ll spend your days deep in data, spotting subtle patterns, flagging suspicious behavior, and making smart, high-stakes decisions that protect millions of users. It’s focused, behind-the-scenes work with measurable impact—and it takes sharp instincts, structured thinking, and a relentless attention to detail. 

If you like solving puzzles, following breadcrumbs, and being the reason something didn’t go wrong, this could be a great fit. 

This full-time position may require weekend, holiday, daytime, and/or evening hours.
 
Hybrid environment: This role will begin as in-office 5 days per week for the first 3-6 months and then will shift to in-office 3 days per week to ensure cross-functional collaboration.
 
Shift Schedule: Once you have successfully completed the 4 week training, you will be assigned the following scheduled:
  • 1:30PM – 10:00 PM, Sunday - Thursday

What You'll Do:

  • Review seller accounts daily using internal & external tools and online research to validate identity and detect fraud patterns. 
  • Analyze account information, to identify red flags and potential fraud rings. 
  • Use Excel and internal systems to manage and document your investigations—this is your daily workflow. 
  • Identify and escalate suspicious trends that may indicate larger fraud activity. 
  • Meet established performance benchmarks: 
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve detection criteria and workflows. 
  • Additional duties as assigned

What You’ve Done:

  • Detail-driven: Worked in complex environments like customer service, collections, trust & safety, or seller operations 
  • Spreadsheet-savvy: Used Excel confidently to sort, filter, and build formulas—you live in spreadsheets 
  • Process-oriented: Followed detailed SOPs to consistently meet or exceed high daily targets 
  • Clear communicator: Created accurate, concise internal documentation to support team decisions 
  • Independent executor: Delivered results in solo, focused work with minimal supervision 
  • Schedule-reliable: Comfortable with fixed shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays (training is first 4 weeks, Mon–Fri, 9-5)

  • Bonus-ready: Experience in fraud, risk, or trust & safety is a plus, but not required—we’ll train you

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base pay is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
