  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in data analytics, program management, anti-abuse, policy, or related fields.
  • 2 years of experience in people management, leading teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).
  • Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation to improve user safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

About the jobTrust and Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. In this role, you will be embedding data-driven decision-making into the core of our business strategy. You will partner closely with executive leadership across Play and Compute, translating data into actionable insights to shape executive discussions and guide direction.

A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $219,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the evolution of the analytics function by shifting the team's focus from fulfilling ad-hoc requests (reactive) to anticipating business needs, identifying trends, and uncovering new growth opportunities (proactive).
  • Act as an advisor to Play and Compute leadership. Manage, facilitate, and drive high-level business discussions, utilizing data to influence strategy, align cross-functional objectives, and achieve consensus.
  • Advocate a culture of data-based decision-making.
  • Mentor and guide a high-performing analytics team, fostering an environment focused on business impact, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement proactive operational models, leveraging advanced analytics to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable growth within the Play and Compute ecosystems.
