About the Team
We are building the next generation of content safety and governance systems at TikTok, with a strong focus on protecting minors and teens at global scale.

Our team sits at the intersection of product, policy, and AI, leveraging large language models and multimodal technologies to design safety mechanisms that are proactive, scalable, and measurable. We work closely with Policy, Legal, Algorithm, and Engineering teams to translate complex regulatory and safety requirements into real-world product solutions that protect users while preserving a high-quality user experience.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product strategy for Minor Content Safety, ensuring age-appropriate content experiences across TikTok.
- Define and drive the product roadmap, success metrics, and long-term vision for minor safety governance.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize content safety risks using data analysis, case studies, and trend monitoring, and translate insights into product and system-level solutions.
- Partner closely with Policy, Legal, Algorithm, Engineering, and Data teams to turn governance requirements into scalable, enforceable product mechanisms.
- Balance risk mitigation, regulatory expectations, and user experience, making informed tradeoffs through data and experimentation.
- Continuously incorporate internal signals and external feedback (regulatory, public discourse, ecosystem changes) to evolve safety strategies and product direction.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, with strong exposure to content safety, trust & safety, governance, or platform integrity domains.
- Proven ability to use data and metrics to evaluate risk, measure impact, and drive product decisions.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks and user experience, with experience building or operating policy-driven products.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, especially when working with Engineering, Algorithm, and Data Science teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on minor/teen safety, online harms, or youth protection products.
- Familiarity with AI-driven moderation systems or large-scale content platforms.
- Experience collaborating with Legal or Regulatory stakeholders in fast-evolving environments.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $149040 - $311600 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).​
