Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience with delivering analysis projects and working on open-ended problems.
4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field.
Experience with machine learning.
Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).
Ability to solve unstructured business problems, in fraud investigations and a risk management space.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

About The Job

In this role, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product and Operations teams in a multifaceted effort to improve processes for identifying and resolving policy and safety issues.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

Ideate and manage impact strategies which increase user safety or improve user experience on Google Shopping in partnership with senior stakeholders from Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Policy, Sales and other Trust and Safety teams.
Perform investigative fraud and abuse analysis, producing insights and recommendations.
Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow improvements and operational efficiency gains. Subsequently drive solutions to completion.
Support global partnerships with senior stakeholders across teams and act as a reliable domain expert for them.
Participate in the regular on-call coverage rotation to resolve sensitive issues and escalations.
