Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a related technical field.
Experience in roles related to business analysis, statistical analysis or Machine Learning.
Ability to solve large unstructured business problems, preferably in fraud investigations and risk management space.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with capability to process high amounts of data to drive business strategies and decisions.

About The Job

The Shopping team within Trust and Safety is recruiting enthusiastic, web-savvy individuals to work with cutting-edge technologies in order to keep users safe on Google Shopping. As part of this team, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product and Operations teams in a multifaceted effort to improve the processes for identifying and resolving policy and safety issues. On this team, you are a big-picture thinker and strategic leader responsible for the execution of complex projects with various groups of stakeholders. You are proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, innovative, and thrive in a fluid environment. You understand the user's point of view and are passionate about using your combined technical and business acumen to protect the users. You will be responsible to analyze market trends, set forward-looking strategy, and implement scaled solutions to solve user safety issues, to ensure a high-quality user experience across Shopping products.

A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Ideate and manage high impact strategies which increase user safety or improve user experience on Google Shopping in partnership with executive stakeholders from engineering, product management, legal, policy, sales and other Trust and Safety teams.
Perform investigative fraud and abuse analysis, producing actionable insights and recommendations.
Identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow improvements and operational efficiency gains. Subsequently drive solutions to completion.
Actively strengthen global partnerships with executive stakeholders across teams and act as a reliable domain expert for them.
Take part in the regular on-call coverage rotation to resolve sensitive issues and escalations.
