We are seeking talented engineers to lead a cross-function effort to build Identity experiences, and transform how we learn from customers through customizing Foundational LLM models using Supervised Fine Tuning (SFT) and In-Context Learning (ICL) model training technologies. The LLM-centric development model is changing every aspect of traditional software development. The candidate is expected to be able to deliver in an environment with high velocity and ambiguities by working across multiple roles from both internal and external partner engineering teams. The ideal candidate has a demonstrable track record of technical leadership and success in delivering new features and products. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. Key job responsibilities
The Software Development Engineer will:
• launch customer facing experiences end to end through a cross-function effort, including product managers, applied scientists, software engineers, data engineers, and quality engineers.
• be responsible for the development and maintenance of key platforms needed for connecting LLMs to actual user requests and real world APIs which act on them required for building conversational agents.
· Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
· Drive best practices and engineering excellence.
· Work with other team members to develop the architecture and design of new and current systems.
· Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software in a fast-paced environment.

A day in the life
As a member of the Alexa Identity and Privacy team, you will build the technologies to deliver Identity and enrollment experiences to individuals wherever they are in their day. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

About the team
The team builds horizontal identity capabilities that is fundamental for customer trust and personalization. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
