  • 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 1 year of experience working with AI systems and ML concepts.
  • Experience with infrastructure for complex automation and human aid systems.

We work on human assisted solutions that integrate machine learning and automated solutions that make this possible. We work in partnership with various research teams, other infrastructure and applied AI teams to bring abuse content detection to YouTube.

We are part of Responsiveness effort in Trust and Safety with a mission to Build ML and tooling capabilities to proactively identify threats and ensure the fastest, safest resolution for YouTube Operations teams and users.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Write product or system development code. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Analyze and understand gaps in our rapid response systems. Apply novel machine learning methods to address a variety of Trust and Safety issues.
  • Build systems, infrastructure and classifiers to improve our content detection capabilities by orchestrating signals from various expert models, and to make the most effective use of our human content reviewers.
