The position is located in Billund, Denmark. 

Relocation will not be financially supported for this role. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Lead a skilled team of 6 privacy professionals in maintaining the LEGO Group's adherence to the dynamic and evolving privacy statutes across the world 

  • Build, implement, and refine global privacy initiatives, encompassing the establishment of a governance framework 

  • Understand business priorities and how they may be impacted by privacy laws 

  • Keep track of the LEGO Group's compliance status and ensure meticulous and timely reporting to senior executive levels, including the LEGO Group’s Corporate Compliance Board 

  • Maintain independence from daily business advisory. Engage in awareness building and collaboration with legal colleagues. 

  • Manage communication with authorities around privacy compliance and maintain a robust data breach handling process 

  • Join the leadership team of the LEGO Group's worldwide legal, compliance, and risk function

The Privacy Office handles a significant responsibility by coordinating the LEGO Group’s comprehensive privacy compliance agenda in tight collaboration with all other legal teams and business areas. 

 

Do you have, what it takes? 

We expect you to hold a Legal degree, Masters of Law or similar combined with: 

  • Strong collaborator management and communication skills with the ability to influence and work with executive teams, HR, digital functions, including security and market- & sales organisation 

  • Possessing strong strategic leadership abilities, capable of aligning privacy initiatives with business goals and potential risks 

  • Ability to interpret, implement, and communicate evolving regulatory frameworks to executive audiences 

  • In-depth understanding of international data protection laws, particularly of GDPR 

  • Experience in collaborating with CISOs and digital teams, e.g. on incident response and data breach management 

  • Demonstrated skill in aligning privacy strategy with business goals and corporate risk management 

  • Practical involvement in developing and advancing worldwide privacy initiatives, encompassing policies, governance structures, DPIAs/TIAs, vendor risk oversight, and international data transfer methods (SCCs, BCRs, adequacy)
