Manager
Amazon's Account Security team is looking for a Senior Product Manager – Technical to protect hundreds of millions of customers across Amazon's 4.6 billion accounts — the largest consumer identity surface in the world. This role owns the strategy, roadmap, and execution of account security initiatives spanning buyers, sellers, vendors, Amazon Business, Amazon Health, and Devices.

Our vision is simple but ambitious: zero account takeovers and zero account lockouts. You'll drive that vision across four strategic layers — Proactive Threat Prevention, Account Strength & Assurance, Defense in Depth, and Trust Restoration — partnering with engineering, ML, and operations teams across multiple organizations to deliver customer-facing security outcomes at unprecedented scale.

This is a high-visibility role with regular engagement at VP and Director level, and direct ownership of some of Amazon's most consequential security programs, including passkey adoption, agentic AI threat mitigation, and automated remediation.
From Day 1, Product Managers are given ownership of large products, the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions, and the ability to drive significant impact to the customer experience and the business. Over their careers, successful product managers will be exposed to multiple businesses/products, and pushed to grow into senior level general managers that independently run large business segments and organizations. This is a global role that will include interaction with teams in countries outside of the United States, requiring a strong ability to communicate effectively and understand the different needs of global customers. Your decisions are not only fundamental to the viability and attractiveness of our offering for Sellers, but they will in turn drive selection, revenue and growth of our overall business.

Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product strategy and roadmap across the Account Security framework's four strategic layers: Proactive Threat Prevention, Account Strength & Assurance, Defense in Depth, and Trust Restoration
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Account Security, Core Identity, Customer Service, Amazon Business, and Devices — driving alignment and accountability across VP-level stakeholders
- Define, track, and drive key metrics including ATO reduction, false positive sanitization rates, passkey adoption, account lockout reduction, and bot mitigation; own WBR and MBR reporting to Director+ leadership
- Partner with engineering teams to define requirements for ML-based detection models, authentication frameworks (passkeys, 2SV, passwordless), and automated remediation workflows
- Drive phishing-resistant authentication adoption, including passkey mandates for High Consequence Accounts and removal of weak authentication fallbacks
- Develop strategy for detecting and mitigating unauthorized agentic AI traffic and evolving attack vectors
- Author 6-pagers, PR/FAQs, and OP1 narratives; present to VP and Director-level leadership on program status and strategic decisions

A day in the life
No two days look the same on Account Security. You might start the morning reviewing a spike in credential stuffing attacks, working with partner teams to tighten detection thresholds before it impacts customers. By mid-morning you're in a cross-org sync aligning on sequencing for strengthening authentication controls across a high-risk customer segment. After lunch, you're drafting a 6-pager for a VP review on the agentic AI threat strategy — translating complex attack patterns into a clear investment narrative. Before the day ends, you're reviewing business metrics, flagging an anomaly in repeat ATO rates, and kicking off a deep dive with the data team. Every day you're operating at the intersection of security, product, and scale.
