Role Summary:
We’re looking for a Spanish-speaking Trust & Safety professional with strong familiarity in the Latin American digital ecosystem. This is a foundational hire—someone ready to roll up their sleeves and help us build from the ground up.
As our first T&S team member focused on LATAM, you'll operate as both a strategist and an executor: reviewing video content, shaping regional policy, training moderators, and helping scale vendor operations. You should be comfortable toggling between high-level thinking and daily moderation work—someone who can see the forest and the trees.
This is a generalist role with the potential to grow into regional leadership. You’ll be setting the tone and structure for how we keep users safe and compliant across Latin America.
Key Responsibilities:
Moderation & Enforcement
Conduct and scale video content reviews in Spanish using industry standard safety policies
Identify and escalate high-risk content, including child safety, graphic violence, and local cultural risks.
Policy & Localization
Localize existing content moderation policies for LATAM-specific legal, cultural, and linguistic contexts.
Provide feedback on enforcement thresholds for sensitive categories (e.g., nudity, grooming, self-harm).
Vendor & Training Support
Help identify and evaluate Spanish-speaking vendor partners (BPOs).
Assist in onboarding and training vendor moderators to ensure consistency and quality.
Lead Spanish-language training modules and quality review standards.
Operational Readiness
Act as the go-to regional lead for Trust & Safety needs in LATAM.
Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Data teams to operationalize appeals, enforcement messaging, and escalation processes in Spanish.
Track regional moderation performance and flag policy gaps or inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
Native or fluent Spanish speaker with strong English proficiency.
2–4+ years experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or online safety—preferably with a focus on Latin American markets.
Experience working with moderation vendors, BPOs, or outsourcing partners is a plus.
Comfortable with fast-paced, high-ambiguity startup environments.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience scaling Trust & Safety operations or launching a new region.
Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies, appeals workflows, or quality review frameworks.
Strong written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Familiarity with LATAM data privacy laws, platform liability frameworks (e.g., Brazil’s Marco Civil), and regional child safety risks.
