Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building scaled operations, efficient workflow design and process documentation in a trust and safety environment.
  • Experience in crafting compelling narratives intended to influence internal and external stakeholders, as well as presenting to executives in the organization.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, complex problem solving and efficient execution.
  • Ability to solve large unstructured business problems, working closely with cross-regional and cross-functional teams.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex projects involving multiple-stakeholders with the ability to improve abuse detection systems and mitigate user harm.
  • Drive alignment and strengthen partnership with executive stakeholders across Trust and Safety and other cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Business Development and Legal.
  • Demonstrate core process knowledge to improve workflows and operational workstreams.
  • Build deep policy knowledge and product expertise to implement, execute and iteratively improve enforcement operations.
  • Possess excellent people management and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex policy concepts, delivering persuasive communications for executive audiences.
