Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Moderator, Trust & Safety to join our growing team, specifically focusing on the critical area of minor safety within our product ecosystem. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of protecting our youngest users by reviewing and actioning content that violates our safety policies, with a particular emphasis on preventing and responding to child exploitation, abuse, and other harmful content. This position requires a strong commitment to online safety, exceptional judgment, and resilience in handling sensitive and disturbing material.
Key Responsibilities
Content Review & Moderation:
• Proactively review user-generated content (UGC), user profiles, and activity across various platforms for violations of minor safety policies, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child exploitation, grooming, and other harmful content targeting minors.
• Accurately classify and apply appropriate policy actions based on established guidelines and legal requirements.
Policy Enforcement & Interpretation:
• Develop a deep understanding of complex and evolving minor safety policies, legal frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Apply policy guidelines consistently and fairly, making nuanced decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Provide feedback to policy and product teams on emerging trends, policy gaps, and necessary guideline improvements related to minor safety.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of moderation decisions and actions.
• Contribute to regular reporting on content trends, policy violations, and enforcement effectiveness, with a focus on minor safety metrics.
Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including policy, legal, product, to enhance safety measures and address critical incidents.
• Participate in training sessions and calibration exercises to ensure consistent policy application across the team.
Emotional Resilience & Well-being:
• Manage exposure to highly sensitive and potentially disturbing content with professionalism and emotional resilience.
• Actively participate in well-being programs and utilize available support resources.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field (e.g., criminology, psychology, social work, law enforcement, online safety).
• 1+ years of experience in content moderation, trust and safety, or a related field, with exposure to sensitive contents.
• Demonstrated understanding of online safety issues, particularly those affecting minors.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick, accurate, and consistent decisions under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in Indonesian Language is required as the role requires communication with Relevant markets, fluent in English is also required as it is the working language.
• Ready to work in shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with minor safety policies and handling CSAM or similar highly sensitive content.
• Experience with data analysis tools and reporting.
• Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the product's user base.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
