About The Role

The Senior Data Analyst (Fraud) at Super.com plays a pivotal role in our efforts to detect and prevent earnings fraud. Embedded within our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with product managers, software engineers, and designers in our mission-aligned team (MAT) model. This structure provides an immersive experience into vertical-specific business challenges, enabling you to develop deep expertise and deliver impactful insights. Your primary focus will be analyzing user and transaction-level data to identify patterns indicative of fraudulent activity, proactively mitigating financial losses, and safeguarding our platform's integrity. You will be responsible for building and maintaining fraud monitoring dashboards, investigating suspicious activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and refine fraud detection rules. Your insights will support incident response efforts, improve data quality, and inform strategic decisions, ensuring the safety of our users and the financial health of our platform.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics, or related roles

Experience in fraud, risk management, trust & safety, or credit/collections domains is a plus

Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying, modeling, and workflow automation

Hands-on experience with modern data warehouse and transformation tools such as Snowflake and dbt

Proficiency with BI and dashboarding tools like Looker, Amplitude, or Tableau

Proven ability to handle complex datasets and derive actionable insights

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to scope ambiguous issues and develop data-driven solutions

Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical analysis into clear recommendations

Experience working cross-functionally, prioritizing tasks, and managing stakeholder expectations

Comfort working with event-level product data across web and mobile platforms, including tracing user journeys and debugging data issues

Responsibilities

Analyze complex datasets to identify fraudulent behavior patterns and generate insights to reduce earnings fraud

Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions for fraud monitoring and self-serve analytics

Collaborate with product, engineering, and operational teams to scope, prioritize, and execute analytics projects that influence product development and operational strategies

Investigate anomalies and conduct root-cause analysis for fraud incidents, supporting incident response efforts

Assist in the development, testing, and optimization of fraud detection rules using data insights and A/B testing methodologies

Ensure data quality, governance, and best practices are upheld to maintain reliable and secure data assets

Communicate complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and presentations

Participate in regular team meetings, sprint planning, and cross-team discussions to stay aligned on priorities and incident handling

Identify high-impact business problems independently and develop innovative, data-driven solutions to address them
