Fraud Specialist (all genders)

JustPlay is looking for an experienced Fraud Specialist to strengthen our fraud detection, prevention, and response capabilities across monetisation, user behaviour, and ad operations. You will play a key role in safeguarding revenue, reducing risk exposure, and improving the trust and integrity of our products.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement strategies that mitigate fraud in both internal systems and third-party ad monetisation partnerships. This role is for someone who thrives in fast paced environments and stays ahead of constantly evolving fraud patterns. Our new Fraud Specialist should prioritize with precision, act with urgency, and be ready to take full ownership of one of the most key roles across our business.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in fraud detection and prevention, risk management or trust & safety in digital platforms (preferably mobile gaming, gaming loyalty apps, or mobile monetisation)

• Deep understanding of ad monetisation fraud types (e.g., click injection, fake installs, SDK manipulation, impression fraud) and other related risk vectors.

• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to interpret large datasets and draw actionable risk insights.

• Skilled at cross-functional collaboration with engineers, analysts, and operations to drive implementation of scalable fraud solutions.

• Comfortable making data-informed decisions in dynamic environments.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with MMPs, ad networks, or ad-revenue based platforms.

• Experience working with fraud detection tools, anomaly detection systems, or internal risk dashboards.

• SQL or BI tool experience.

Job Responsibilities

Lead detection & investigation

• Monitor user behaviour, ad traffic, and monetisation signals to detect potentially fraudulent activities

• Conduct thorough investigations into flagged cases and suspicious anomalies from internal alerts or external sources.

Develop fraud prevention strategies

• Design, implement, and continuously refine controls, rules, and automated signals that reduce fraud exposure without compromising user experience or revenue quality.

• Partner with Data and Product teams to evolve detection models, scoring logic, and experimentation frameworks based on observed fraud patterns and business impact.

Collaborate and provide fraud expertise across teams

• Serve as a fraud domain expert in cross-functional discussions related to monetisation, user flows, and feature design.

• Collaborate with Data, Engineering, Operations, and UX teams to embed fraud-aware thinking into detection pipelines, alerting systems, and response workflows.

Drive insights & reporting

• Own and prioritize fraud-related KPIs such as false positives, fraud velocity, and user friction metrics, driving continuous optimization.

• Analyze fraud patterns and recommend strategic changes in product design to build fraud-resilient user experiences while minimizing friction for legitimate players.
