About The Role

Part-Time | Remote | Contract

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, self-directed Freelance KYC Operations Specialist to support our identity verification workflows as our advisor community continues to grow.

In this role, you’ll focus on day-to-day execution of KYC reviews, working primarily in our third-party verification platform, Footprint, to review flagged cases, make risk-based determinations, and help advisors complete verification quickly and accurately. This is a high-throughput, operational role ideal for someone who thrives on clear SOPs, fast turnaround times, and independent work.

You’ll partner closely with our Product Operations and Support teams and escalate complex or edge cases as needed, but your core responsibility will be keeping verification moving efficiently and accurately at scale.

This role reports to our Product Operations Specialist and is well-suited for someone looking for flexible, contract-based work with consistent volume.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily KYC reviews in Footprint, including manual review of flagged or incomplete cases
  • Make pass/fail decisions using defined risk frameworks and escalation guidelines
  • Ensure advisors complete KYC requirements by following established workflows and documentation standards
  • Flag edge cases, system issues, or recurring patterns to the Product Operations team
  • Maintain clear notes and documentation for auditability and compliance
  • Follow existing SOPs closely while identifying opportunities for process clarity or efficiency
  • Collaborate asynchronously with Support and ProdOps to resolve advisor verification issues

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience using identity verification or compliance platforms (Footprint experience a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment when evaluating ambiguous cases
  • Comfortable working independently with SOP and turnaround expectations
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage volume and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience supporting fintech, travel, SaaS, or marketplace platforms
  • Prior freelance or contract operations experience
  • Familiarity working alongside Support or Trust & Safety teams

What you'll Get

  • Flexible, remote contract work with consistent review volume
  • Clear SOPs, tooling, and escalation paths — no guesswork
  • Exposure to trust & compliance operations at a fast-growing startup
  • A chance to support a mission-driven platform empowering entrepreneurs globally

Time Commitment & Compensation

15–25 hours/week to start, with potential to scale based on volume and performance. $30/hr, commensurate with experience. We’re especially interested in partners open to a longer-term engagement (6–12+ months).
