Have you ever thought about what it takes to be called the #1 most trusted company for Customers? What would you do to create a trusted marketplace where millions of customers can make great purchase decisions and where the world's most recognized Brands are successfully listing and selling their products?

Catalog Authorization is the gatekeeper for who can sell what on Amazon — our policies ensure only authorized sellers list against protected catalog selections, protecting brands and customers at scale. The team manages policies including Match Only, Brand Name Authorization, Exclusivity — touching millions of seller interactions annually. This role leads the program management team responsible for designing, launching, and scaling those authorization mechanisms across all policy types worldwide.

We're looking for a leader who doesn't just run programs — they build the people and systems that make programs self-sustaining. You'll own team development as seriously as you own business outcomes: coaching PMs through ambiguity, raising the bar on strategic thinking across the team, and setting a direction that connects daily execution to long-term category health. You'll define what "good" looks like for this program, then build the team and mechanisms to get there.

Key job responsibilities
You lead a team of Program Managers across distinct Catalog Authorization policy workstreams, actively investing in growing them from task execution into strategic ownership. You set clear performance expectations, deliver candid feedback, and build individualized development plans that close skill gaps proactively. You define the multi-year program vision—what we build, what we stop doing, and what capabilities we need—owning the roadmap and defending prioritization tradeoffs to Directors and VPs.

You drive measurable results including seller contact elimination, contact re-open rate reduction, and customer glance view exposure reduction through automation and policy enforcement. You partner with Engineering to scale automated approval solutions and push from manual evaluation toward data-driven decisioning. You serve as the voice for Catalog Authorization across Brand Registry, Listings and Abuse Prevention, and Category and Store teams, coordinating regional launches and owning end-to-end policy launch readiness. You write compelling narratives and identify emerging risks before they become urgent—setting the team's agenda rather than reacting to escalations.

A day in the life
You start by reviewing program metrics and identifying where your team needs to course-correct. You hold a 1:1 with a PM navigating a complex policy launch—coaching them through stakeholder alignment rather than solving it for them. Mid-morning, you join a cross-functional session with Engineering to evaluate automation readiness, asking probing questions about seller experience trade-offs. You review a draft narrative from your team, sharpening the "so what" and tightening the data story. You close the day aligning with your leadership on next quarter's priorities and which workstreams to scale vs. sunset.
