About Miravia

Miravia is a cutting-edge e-commerce platform connecting buyers and sellers seamlessly. We pride ourselves on offering a diverse and dynamic shopping experience by bringing on board innovative brands across various categories. Located in Madrid, we work with teams from all over the world to build the e-commerce platforms of tomorrow.

The Role

As the Senior Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Manager, you will be the guardian of brand integrity on our platform. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), you will lead the strategy to prevent, detect, and take action against counterfeit goods and IPR infringements. You will bridge the gap between legal mandates and scalable technology, ensuring that Miravia is a trusted destination for both global brands and consumers.

Key Responsibilities

  • IPR Strategy & Policy Development

Define and lead the end-to-end IPR strategy, covering Trademarks, Copyrights, Patents, and Industrial Designs.

Establish and update Seller IPR Policies and Notice & Takedown (NTDs) procedures in compliance with EU regulations (e.g., Digital Services Act) and global best practices.

Act as the primary point of contact for external Brand Protection agencies and rightsholders to build collaborative enforcement frameworks.

  • Proactive Detection & Enforcement

Design and implement automated systems to proactively identify potential IPR infringements using image recognition, keyword filtering, and price-anomaly triggers.

Develop a "Risk Score" for sellers based on IPR history, lead times, and consumer feedback to prioritize enforcement actions.

Lead the enforcement lifecycle: from product takedowns and store suspensions to managing the appeals process for sellers.

Work closely with Engineering and Data teams to build internal tools that reduce manual review time while maintaining high accuracy.

  • Supply Chain Integrity & Brand Programs

Oversee the Brand Application and Brand Creation programs to ensure only authorized sellers can list protected brands.

Develop rigorous vetting protocols for seller supply chains, including the verification of Letters of Authorization (LoA), invoices, and distribution agreements.

Monitor "Grey Market" activity and ensure sellers are sourcing products through legitimate, verifiable channels.

Audit existing high-risk categories to ensure current listings meet brand-owner requirements.

  • Data-Driven Leadership & Collaboration

Provide regular reporting to the CRO and Executive Leadership on IPR health metrics, detection rates, and emerging counterfeit trends.

Collaborate with the Legal team on high-profile infringement cases and regulatory inquiries.

Partner with Category Management and Commercial teams to educate sellers on IPR compliance and brand safety.
