Why we're hiring:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Privacy Coordinator to join the WPP Privacy team. The Privacy Coordinator will be a key member of the WPP Privacy team, specifically supporting the WPP Media and Choreograph privacy programs. This role is central to ensuring our adherence to global privacy regulations. The Privacy Coordinator will work closely with the Privacy Leadership team, following established processes to conduct privacy risk assessments, manage consumer rights and mitigate privacy risks across our operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our privacy framework and fostering a culture of data protection.

What you'll be doing:

Consumer Rights Management:

Support the management and processing of individual rights requests.
Ensure timely and compliant responses to all requests, adhering to regulatory deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of requests and their resolution.
Privacy Mailbox Management:

Oversee and manage multiple privacy-related mailboxes, serving as the primary point of contact for incoming inquiries.
Handle and triage Subject Access Requests (SARs) efficiently and in accordance with legal requirements.
Respond to and escalate internal and external privacy-related advice requests, liaising with legal counsel or senior privacy professionals as needed.
Vendor Risk Management:

Conduct privacy assessments of vendors using WPP's established framework and questionnaires.
Review vendor responses and identify potential privacy risks and compliance gaps.
Document assessment findings and escalate high-risk vendors to the Privacy Leadership team for further review.
Track the progress of vendor assessments and ensure timely completion.
Training & Development:

Assist in the development, delivery, and coordination of privacy training programs for employees.
Update privacy training resources, materials, and internal guidance documents to reflect regulatory changes and best practices.
Regulatory Tracking & Reporting:

Monitor and track new and emerging privacy regulations, guidance, and enforcement actions globally.
Support the assessment of the impact of new regulations on our operations.
Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries on relevant regulatory developments for internal stakeholders.
Process Management:

Support the tracking, auditing, and review of privacy-related processes and controls.
Contribute to data mapping exercises and maintaining records of personal data processing activities.
Support the privacy impact assessment (PIA) process for new technologies and processing activities involving personal data.
What you'll need:

Experience in a privacy, data protection, or compliance role.
Solid understanding of key global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PECR).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and strong analytical skills to assess privacy risks and propose solutions.
