Job Description:

The Privacy department within Disney Legal and Global Affairs is responsible for overseeing compliance with legal requirements and corporate policy related to the governance of personal information collected from consumers and employees.  The Privacy Legal Data Governance team is charged with documenting and auditing TWDC business teams’ compliance with privacy laws and regulations around the world, including specific mandates from relevant regulatory authorities.  This individual will report directly to the Executive Director, Data Governance and Consumer Experience, and support the team responsible for developing and implementing a compliance program for TWDC content uploaded to certain social media platforms. 

Areas of Responsibility:

• Maintain compliance program documentation, including for annual reporting, training materials, complaint monitoring, and program and audit guidelines
• Administer specific regulatory compliance requirements, including compliance reporting to regulatory agencies
• Track timelines and milestones for order compliance requirements
• Support governance and compliance program including content classification, review, and auditing

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in project management, ideally within the digital media space.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies, social media, and media business models.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers and clients.
• Willingness to take “ownership” of projects and think proactively.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle a high volume of work, prioritize appropriately, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Superior organizational skill with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in technical field such as management information systems
• Experience in project management
• Certification in project or program management
• Interest in privacy and data security

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $91,900 to $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
