About the Role
Trust & Safety Research (TSR) is looking for a Project Coordinator to support research, advisory, and multi-stakeholder projects at the intersection of technology, public policy, and society.
Our work covers emerging issues in Trust & Safety, AI governance, and digital policy, often involving leading technology companies, researchers, policymakers, and international partners.
You will work closely with TSR’s project team and researchers to turn complex ideas into well-executed projects — coordinating people, timelines, project activities, and deliverables across Japan and globally.
This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity and making ambitious projects happen.
Starting date: October 2026 preferred (negotiable).

What We’re Looking For
Experience in research, consulting, academia, technology, public policy, or international projects is a plus.
We do not require a specific number of years of experience. We are looking for someone who learns quickly, takes ownership, and enjoys working on difficult and meaningful social problems.
Why TSR
At TSR, we work on emerging issues that do not yet have established playbooks.
You will help coordinate an international research project, work with technology companies and researchers on new policy questions, or support cross-sector initiatives for safer digital ecosystem.
For someone interested in the future of technology and society, this is an opportunity to work unusually close to where new ideas, policies, and collaborations are being built.
Selection Process
Our selection process is designed to be thoughtful while respecting candidates’ time.
The written exercise may ask you to briefly share your perspective on Trust & Safety or how you would approach a practical project scenario.
We aim to complete the overall selection process within approximately one month.
