About the team
The Search Operations team aims to enhance the search user experience, significantly impact the products' Daily Active User (DAU), and drive increases in traffic and Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).

Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, recruit, and develop the local search operation team, enabling them to reach their full potential while maintaining high standards and quality of work.
- Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with TikTok's core values and follow existing policies and procedures.
- Guide the team in policy, process, and strategy localization, business process outsourcing (BPO) quality management, quality assurance, root cause analysis (RCA), data analysis and deep dives, report creation, and policy recommendations. Also, strengthen the team's understanding of Search Ops policies.
- Continuously evaluate outcomes, manage performance, establish and optimize workflows and SOPs, report, analyze, and improve quality processes to ensure productivity, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency goals are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product and research & development to optimize search strategies and enhance users' search experience.
- Deliver new projects and provide high-quality training to the BPO site.
- Actively promote and support inclusion, ensuring individuals are empowered to participate in community and work opportunities according to their interests and goals.
- Create an inspiring team environment with open communication, utilizing clear goals and objectives to help the team succeed.
- Be willing to handle sensitive issues, including child exploitation, various religious and political views, violence, and adult & sexual content.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Recent 3+ years of experience as a Team Lead, Content Manager, or Technical Lead. Strong people management skills, currently overseeing large, diverse multicultural teams.
- General knowledge of Search Engineering/Search engines and search-related strategies.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Possesses good leadership skills, sound judgment, and coaching abilities.
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams across different countries.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese is required. English will be utilized as the primary language for work, while Portuguese will be for market-specific communications.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education experience.
- Flexibility to move between various projects based on business needs.
- Ability to work in a quickly changing environment, adapt, and respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Ability to sustain effectiveness and resilience while working in sensitive and challenging situations.
