Senior Analyst, Data Analytics - Rewards Integrity

The Rewards Integrity Team within Membership Rewards is a part of Proprietary Products, Rewards and Benefits (PPRB) in the US Consumer Card organization. This team is responsible for detecting, mitigating, and recovering losses associated with rewards leakage and benefits abuse.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will collaborate with a team responsible for managing the end-to-end Rewards Integrity strategy, leveraging advanced analytics, robust controls, and cross-functional partnership to identify and mitigate financial and operational risk.

• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and potential leakage, translating insights into actionable strategies
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and uphold governance and control standards
• Perform and support hands-on operational execution, including manual processes, performance monitoring, and delivery of measurable results
• Conduct deep dives into product constructs, processes, and data flows to identify risks, control gaps, leakage, and optimization opportunities
• Partner cross-functionally to align on strategic objectives, validate insights, and drive coordinated execution

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience in risk management, analytics, or a related function
• Experience with writing SQL queries, including working within Lumi (or similar data platforms)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
• Demonstrated ability to produce audit-ready documentation and operate within established governance and control frameworks
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business units
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, prioritize effectively, and drive measurable results
• Ability to deep dive into product constructs, processes, and data flows to identify risks, inefficiencies, and potential leakage
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Experience in financial services, payments, or risk-focused environments
• Familiarity with large-scale data environments
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar languages, with demonstrated experience developing, reviewing, validating, and troubleshooting complex code and analytical solutions within Lumi or comparable data platforms
• Familiarity with risk frameworks, controls, and governance processes
• Experience identifying and quantifying financial or operational leakage and implementing mitigation strategies
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives from insight to execution
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience optimizing processes or building scalable analytical solutions
