About Sniffies

Sniffies is a fast-growing, location-based GBTQ+ app that connects people in real time. We're building a community rooted in openness, authenticity, and self-expression, and a culture that values autonomy and trust, for our users and our team alike. We move quickly, we're small, and we take supporting our community seriously.

About the role

Trust & Safety is how Sniffies keeps our community safe to be themselves. As Senior Product Manager, Trust & Safety, you'll own the internal tooling and operational systems behind all of it: the moderation queues, enforcement workflows, escalation paths, appeals, and reporting that our moderators, customer experience, and safety teams rely on every day. Much of this is yours to build from the ground up: you'll decide where to start, what to prioritize, and how to turn operational challenges into systems that scale as we grow.

What You'll Do

Moderation Tooling & Enforcement Infrastructure

  • Own and improve the internal admin tools moderators use every day: queue management, escalation flows, enforcement actions, and the visibility that keeps decisions fast and consistent.
  • Build out appeals, enforcement auditing, and moderation-note systems so decisions are reviewable and defensible.
  • Partner with Engineering and Moderation Ops to cut friction and raise the speed, consistency, and quality of enforcement.

Customer Experience Systems & Operational Support

  • Improve how users report problems and how those reports move through to enforcement, including the reporting flows, escalation paths, and support tooling behind user safety.
  • Partner with Customer Experience to align support workflows with evolving platform policies and safety standards.
  • Tighten coordination between Customer Experience, Moderation, Legal, and Product so issues don't fall through the cracks.

Operational Analytics & Reporting

  • Define the metrics and dashboards that show how Trust & Safety is performing, from enforcement outcomes to workflow bottlenecks and moderation trends.
  • Work with Data and Engineering to instrument the KPIs that move the team from reactive to data-driven.
  • Build reporting that serves everyone from frontline moderators to executive stakeholders.

Compliance & Policy Operationalization

  • Turn compliance and policy requirements into real product changes and workflows, such as privacy updates, jurisdictional rules, and reporting obligations.
  • Partner with Legal and Trust & Safety to put privacy, safety, and governance initiatives into practice across web and native.
  • Keep the team ready for emerging regulatory needs as the platform grows.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in Product Management, Product Operations, or Trust & Safety, ideally in fast-paced consumer products.
  • Hands-on experience building or owning internal tooling, workflow systems, or moderation-related products.
  • A track record in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or another trust-based, privacy-sensitive, or compliance-oriented product area.
  • Strong execution and prioritization, comfortable running several complex initiatives at once.
  • A systems-thinking mindset: you spot operational inefficiencies and turn them into product solutions.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator and clear communicator who can align Engineering, Operations, Customer Experience, Legal, and Data, and navigate organizational complexity.
  • An analytical approach, using metrics and dashboards to drive decisions.

Nice To Have

  • Direct experience with moderation tooling, Trust & Safety systems, or customer support platforms.
  • Familiarity with enforcement workflows, escalation systems, or abuse-prevention operations.
  • Experience working alongside AI/ML-assisted moderation, detection, or enforcement systems.
  • Experience supporting compliance, policy implementation, or regulatory readiness.
  • Experience with consumer mobile, marketplaces, social platforms, or location-based products.
  • Passion for building inclusive, sex-positive, community-centered experiences for the GBTQ+ community.

Why this role

You'd be joining a small team at a moment when the decisions you make really matter. We're serious about the safety of our users, and this is the role that owns how that gets done: the tooling, workflows, and systems that every moderation and safety decision runs through. The impact is felt by every user, every day.

We're an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants of every background, identity, and experience. If this role excites you but you don't tick every box, we'd still love to hear from you.
